For Matt, 2025 was all about relationships. In the energy world, the right opportunity doesn’t always arrive at the right time, and success often comes from patience, persistence, and showing up consistently. This year meant wearing many hats, nurturing long-term conversations, and finally getting to work with some long-standing “dream customers.” It was a reminder that growth isn’t always instant, but when the foundations are right, momentum follows.
A Record-Breaking Milestone
One of the standout moments of the year came in September, when the team processed 1,600 contracts in a single month.
Looking back to the early days, when one or two contracts a week felt like progress, this milestone represented just how far the platform, the team, and our partners have come. It was a collective achievement that showed what’s possible when everything aligns, and it’s set an ambitious benchmark for the year ahead.
The Evolution of the Platform
From a product perspective, 2025 marked a huge leap forward. Barry reflected on just how dramatically the platform has evolved since the early days, not just in how it looks, but in how it’s being used.
This year, we saw growing adoption from both fledgling brokers finding their feet and major, established brokers choosing Tickd as their platform of choice. A Fifth Birthday to Remember
One of the most emotional highlights of the year was Tickd’s fifth birthday celebration at Boxpark.
What made the night special wasn’t just the drinks or the venue, it was the people. Energy suppliers, brokers, partners, and friends of the business all came together to show their support. Five years ago, none of us knew anyone in that room. Standing back and seeing how strong those relationships have become was a proud and humbling moment.
Looking Ahead: Turning Belief into Action
As the conversation shifted to 2026, a clear theme emerged: confidence.
There are exciting developments on the horizon, including multi-site functionality, which will be a game-changer for brokers managing customers with multiple meters. Instead of juggling individual contracts, partners will soon be able to manage everything cleanly and efficiently in one place.
Beyond features, there’s also a renewed focus on visibility. For years, Tickd invested heavily in building the platform rather than marketing it. Now, that’s changing. The belief that Tickd can genuinely transform the industry has solidified, and the next step is telling that story more loudly.
